How to care for different skin types?

Know your skin type

Skin types are generally divided into the following four types:

01 Dry skin refers to dry skin, delicate and thin skin, inconspicuous pores, less and even sebum secretion, and no greasy feeling.

02 Oily skin means that the skin is greasy, the secretion function of sebaceous glands is relatively strong, the face is greasy, difficult to clean, and has a shiny appearance that affects appearance;

03 Mixed skin, less sebum secretion on the cheeks, dry skin, low moisture content in the stratum corneum, dull, poor elasticity, prone to aging and wrinkles

04 Sensitive skin, a highly intolerant skin condition, is easily agitated by various factors and causes stinging, burning, tightness, itching, etc.

Care methods for different skin types

Care for dry skin - use less facial cleanser. In a word, don’t wash your face too much.

Dry skin needs replenishing moisture, not just external skin care products, but also internal moisture intake. Just wash your face with water in the morning in winter. This can avoid over-cleansing and taking away facial oil, making the skin drier. Since there is dust, computer radiation, etc. during the day, you must use facial cleanser when washing your face at night.

After washing your face, immediately apply lotion, cream, etc. to moisturize your skin. As the temperature drops in winter, the skin's absorption of skin care products will slow down. At this time, facial massage for about three minutes can not only facilitate absorption, but also promote blood circulation and metabolism on the face.

It’s best to wash your face in winter by alternating between warm and cold. First wash your face with warm water of about 30℃. Water temperature that is too high can easily weaken the vitality of the facial blood vessel walls and cause the skin to become loose and dry. Rinse with cold water after cleansing to shrink pores, improve skin elasticity, and help keep skin moist and tight. Drinking more water can help increase your skin's hydration level. In addition, using skin care products such as lotions and facial masks with hydrating functions can replenish moisture in the short term. However, the facial mask should not be overused, 1 to 3 times a week is sufficient.

2. Care for normal skin;

Neutral skin is the most ideal skin condition and requires no special care. Carry out care according to seasonal changes. In summer, focus on cleaning pores, and in autumn and winter, focus on hydrating and moisturizing.

3. Care for oily skin. Care for oily skin – don’t wash too frequently. For oily skin, even though your face is shiny every day, it is not recommended to over-cleanse.

Because the more frequently you wash your skin, the faster it will produce oil.

If we wash our face frequently every day, the moisture on the surface of our skin will be taken away, and it will stimulate the sebaceous glands to accelerate oil secretion, which will make our face increasingly oily.

Oily skin that produces oil quickly is better suited to a soap-based cleanser with strong cleansing power. However, soap-based cleansers are too powerful and cannot be used every time you wash your face even if you have oily skin. It is best to mix it with amino acids!

People with oily skin need to pay attention to their diet and avoid spicy and spicy foods. Washing your face with alternating hot and cold water temperatures can help shrink pores and prevent debris from entering the skin. Regular deep cleansing removes dead skin cells from the skin surface and makes the skin smoother and more delicate.

4. Care for combination skin - you need two sets of skin care products

Combination skin is often oily in the center of the face, while other areas such as the cheeks are neutral or dry. You can choose appropriate skin care products according to the conditions of different parts of the face to maintain a balance of water and oil. For combination skin, you should choose a facial cleanser with strong cleansing power, focusing on cleaning the oily skin on the forehead, nose, perioral area and mandible, while cleaning the cheek area can achieve a comprehensive cleansing effect. When cleansing, you can also wash your face alternately with hot and cold water. You can use warm water to clean the T-zone, and then use cold water to clean the entire face.

Change the use of skin care products according to the season and skin characteristics. In autumn and winter or when there is less oil secretion, choose skin care products with stronger oil properties; in spring and summer or when there is more oil secretion, use skin care products that contain more water and less oil. You can adopt a zoned care method and use different skin care products according to the conditions of different parts of the face.

5. Care for sensitive skin

Sensitive skin has a strong response to external stimuli, so it is necessary to avoid irritating ingredients when caring for it. Choose skin care products that are gentle and repair the skin barrier, and avoid using strong cleansers and lotions and creams containing irritating ingredients. Sensitive skin. This type of skin is relatively delicate and intolerant to many skin care products. Before purchasing, you need to apply it behind the ears or on the inside of the wrist for 5-10 minutes to determine whether your skin is suitable for use. Because the skin on the inside of the arms and behind the ears is relatively soft, the reaction to irritating ingredients will be more obvious, and the location is relatively hidden, so even if allergies occur, it will have little impact.

For this type of skin, it is generally recommended to use medical skin care products. These products have relatively simple ingredients, do not contain pigments, fragrances and preservatives, and are more effective in protecting and repairing the skin barrier.

In short, it is very important to adopt different care methods according to different skin types. In addition to skin care, maintaining good living habits and reasonable eating habits are also important factors for skin health. If you have any skin problems, please consult a professional promptly for professional advice.
